Here I will post some updates about what I am up to along with some photos and general information about the life of a photographer.

Weekly Collage June 9th 2016

Lost Village of Dode / Dode Church

This weeks collage is a little late, in fact the week is nearly over but here it is anyway, this week featuring the venue in Luddesdown called the Lost village of Dode and Dode church.

A magical venue run by owner Doug, with Owl's, jumping the broom, hand fasting's, stone circles, and traditional weddings, however its only for 40 or so guests so it's not for everyone, if you are looking for an intimate venue then Dode is well worth a look, it will either take your breath away or (if your scared of spiders) you won't like it.

One thing is for sure, it is a beautiful venue and you will have a day you will not forget for many years.

Studio photographer Kent

These few images are from a very short shoot at the Studio, I did these after completing some #product photography, there are more but some I do not want to post on here right now.

If you are looking for head shots as an #actor or #performer, businessman or woman, looking for something that looks like it was shot in the most expensive studio in London but for an affordable and reasonable price then get in touch.

Busy week Teaching and taking bookings

This week, as I mentioned in my previous blog post has seen me Teaching photography at Tonbridge School, we have so far covered Film photography, Creating contact sheets with various exposures to each film strip to decide the best time for the prints, and today we will be printing some 8x10's, in addition we have also shot to Digital SLR's and printed on Dye Sub printers and included some Photoshop work.

I have also taken a new instruction from a product supplier for handbags and luggage, more from Lecente, another wedding, a family portrait shoot, a pre wedding shoot, and a maternity shoot, and tonight I will be covering an event for the University of Kent in Gillingham.

All in all a busy week concluded by a rehearsal with my Band on Sunday night after a wedding fair at Salomons in Tunbridge Wells, so I think I may turn up to 11!

Teaching photography at Tonbridge School

This week I am teaching photography - film, dark room, digital, photo shop and all sorts of fun things to a group of 14.

Everyone entered the classes a little unsure of what to expect and after just one day they have all gone away excited about the next day and what we are going to do next, we covered shooting to film, how to develop your film and using the darkroom, but tomorrow we will be using the chemicals and getting started on some prints, also we shot to several DSLR's using the natural light and depth of filed to create some great nature shots.

you can see the courses and the link below.

It's been some time since I last shot to film and I think it's just as exciting for me as it is for the students.

Must admit though being called 'Sir' takes a little getting used to.
